Long standing member, Andrea, sent me this information and photo as she thought it might be of interest to some of our other long term members.

Don Reynolds was a member in the 90s , 00s and early 10s who lived near me in Stoneygate. I met him through ramblers and used to give him a lift to walks. He is a very accomplished scrabble player who has beaten me hundreds of times and he studied for a degree with the OU on his retirement. When I worked for Saga he came on lots of holidays overseas to wherever I was working.

10 years ago he moved to Dorset to be nearer to family but I have always stayed in touch and visited every year. Last Friday he was 90 years old , we played scrabble and yes , he beat me !
