Leicester & District Group

An easy way to report any problems you encounter whilst walking in Leicestershire or when doing a walk out for a planned walk e.g. broken stiles or gates, marker posts that have fallen down, barbed wire, blocked paths, is to send the details directly to the Footpaths Secretary who has produced this handy guide.

Alternatively you can report directly to Leicestershire County Council by following the guidance below:

Leicestershire County Council Where to Walk in Leicestershire

and scroll down to the green box which says Report a problem on a public right of way.

You can upload photographs of the problem and you will receive an acknowledgement with a reference number.

Leicestershire County Council really appreciate receiving reports.

If you have any problems, here is a step by step guide which you can download.

Our Footpath secretary, Richard Godbolt, is always willing to help too and has produced an alternative guide.

Please note that for problems in Rutland you will need to refer to the  Rutland  County Council website
