JANE MORTIMER                            Role - Minutes Secretary

 I have always enjoyed walking, believing in its benefits for both body and mind.  I have been a member of Ramblers since 2014 but have only starting walking regularly (Saturdays and Thursdays) since taking early retirement from my role as a library manager in 2021. Leicester Ramblers has been a great way to connect with people and to get out into the (not infrequently muddy) countryside and, sometimes, the hills. I was pleased to take on the modest role as Minutes Secretary for the Committee at the AGM in 2022.

In addition to walking I am a keen gardener, follow Leicester City (not always enjoyable!), go to (post-punk and Indie) gigs and festivals and attend regular exercise classes (body combat is my favourite ;-).
