BHARAT MISTRY                                   Role: Member without Portfolio

 I’ve been a member of the Leicester & District Ramblers Group for approximately two years now, and it has been a fantastic way to spend my retirement! I particularly enjoy getting out on a Tuesday and Thursday for the 6-mile walks, which have become part of my new routine.

During my working years, I was involved in organising sports and social club events at work and bringing people together. I’ve always enjoyed creating a sense of community and hope to bring this to the committee.  

Another passion of mine is cycling! Fitting it all in can be a bit of challenge, but I’m always up for a ride or a walk – or both, depending on the day!

When I’m not on the move, you’ll find me supporting my rugby team - Leicester Tigers, or enjoying a good ale! I’m also part of a small group called ‘Brew and Drink Symposium’, where we get together and brew our own ales. So, if you ever need a recommendation for a good ale or want to try something new – I'm always happy to share!
